Travis Nolting is entering his eighth year as the Head Football Coach at Greenfield-Central High School. When he took over the program in 2019, the Cougars were coming off a winless season. Since then, Coach Nolting has led a remarkable turnaround, compiling a 42–32 record over seven seasons. Under his leadership, the program has produced 12 All-State players, numerous All-Conference selections, and multiple collegiate athletes, including four who advanced to NCAA Division I programs.

During his tenure, the Cougars have broken numerous school records and achieved some of the most successful seasons in over 50 years.

Before joining Greenfield-Central, Coach Nolting spent eight years at North Central High School in Farmersburg, Indiana, where he served as Head Football Coach, Assistant Principal, and Athletic Director. At North Central, he led the Thunderbirds to the first football sectional championship in Sullivan County history (2018), coached two Mr. Football Finalists, (Chase VanSchoyck 2013, Dawson Basinger 2018) and developed numerous All-State and All-Conference players.

Coach Nolting resides in Greenfield with his wife or 22 years Lexie and his two sons Draven, a current sophomore and the starting quarterback at GC and Jaxon "Honey Badger" a current 8th grader and standout runningback and linebacker.
