West Brunswick High School, NC

West Brunswick High School proudly introduced Coach Shane Handy as its new head football coach in 2023. A Randolph County native and Randleman High School graduate, Handy brings more than two decades of coaching experience, including 12 seasons leading Randleman (2008–2019), where he compiled a 95–53 record and guided the Tigers to multiple playoff appearances. He later revitalized the Clayton High School program, leading the Comets to back-to-back postseason runs, including an 8–2 record and 3A state playoff appearance during the 2021 spring season.

A former college coach at Guilford, Catawba, and Ouachita Baptist, Handy is known for his integrity, player-focused leadership, and commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the field. He emphasizes accountability, academic success, and strength training as the foundation for long-term growth. Handy and his wife, Monica, have one daughter and are proud to be part of the Trojan community.
