My name is Michael Justice, and I’m proud to serve as the head football coach of the Franklinton Red Rams here in Franklinton, North Carolina. I’ve been coaching at Franklinton since 2018 and officially stepped into the head coaching role in 2024. This community has become home for me, and being able to lead this program is something I’m truly grateful for.

My coaching journey started at my alma mater, White Oak High School, where I first discovered how much I loved helping young athletes grow and compete. Coaching there gave me the foundation for the way I approach the game today: teach the fundamentals, build confidence, stay disciplined, and always put the team first. Those early years shaped a lot of who I am as a coach and showed me how the right environment can push players to become their best.

I’m also a big believer in education and personal development. I earned my undergraduate degree from Campbell University, and later went on to earn my Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law. While my career path ultimately led me back to football, my time in law school taught me how to communicate, think critically, and lead with clarity—skills I use every day in the fieldhouse, on the practice field, and with our players.

Taking over as head coach at Franklinton has been an incredible experience. My goals for our program are simple: build disciplined athletes, create a family-like atmosphere, and help young men grow into strong leaders on and off the field. I want our players to understand the value of hard work, accountability, and resilience—qualities that matter just as much in life as they do in football. Wins are important, but seeing our players mature and succeed beyond high school is what drives me the most.

Outside of football, my family is my world. I’m blessed with an amazing wife and three wonderful children who keep me grounded and constantly motivated. When I’m not coaching or spending time with them, you’ll probably catch me watching my favorite teams. I’m a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan, a passionate UNC Tar Heels supporter, and I love cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes.

Coaching at Franklinton has given me the chance to work with great student-athletes, dedicated staff, and a supportive community. I’m excited about what we’re building here and look forward to leading the Red Rams to continued growth and success. Every season is a new opportunity, and I’m proud to be a part of this journey with our players, their families, and the entire Franklinton community.
